The Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat once again renewed their rivalries as they have clashed on multiple occasions during the playoffs, and with Jimmy Butler ruled out due to injury, the Heat were ripe for the taking. The C’s took game 1 with Tatum putting up an impressive triple-double of 23 points, ten rebounds, and assists, while Brown, on the other hand, came up with 17 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.
Just as the opening playoff game between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat was drawing to a close, Jayson Tatum had an injury scare after he collided with Heat’s Caleb Martin and landed heavily on his hip. After the game, he said he was ok and acknowledged that he was not expecting the game to be an easy one.
"Erik Spoelstra called a timeout with a 1:30 left down by 16, 30 seconds later that play happens… that looked shady to me."

Just understanding it’s playoff basketball. It’s a physical game playing against a physical team. (Stuff is) It's going to happen. Jayson Tatum at the post game presser
The aggressor, Martin, asserted that he had no ill intentions when he body-checked the Celtics star.
Tatum, who notched his first career playoff triple-double, rose to the occasion and led his team efficiently. Luckily, his initial altercation with Jaime Jaquez didn’t result in him having a bad injury, as the C’s need him now more than ever to take home the NBA title.
