Broncos Elevate QB Ben DiNucci & OLB Ronnie Perkins vs. Patriots
Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

The Denver Broncos face off with the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football. Broncos Country hopes the results will be a nice little Christmas Eve gift to kick off the holiday.

On Saturday, the Broncos announced that quarterback Ben DiNucci and rush linebacker Ronnie Perkins have been elevated to the gameday roster from the practice squad.

The Perkins elevation makes sense, as the Broncos will be without their sack leader Nik Bonitto vs. New England. Bonitto suffered an MCL injury in Week 14 and hasn't played since.

Calling up DiNucci for the second straight week is a curious move, as the Broncos already have two quarterbacks on the active roster — Russell Wilson and Jarrett Stidham. This will be the last time the Broncos can elevate DiNucci without having to expose him to the waiver wire before placing him back on the practice squad.

Relative to roster moves, we're still waiting to find out if the Broncos will activate safety Kareem Jackson now that his four-game suspension has been served. The team has until Monday to make its move, but there's a game to be played on Sunday night.

The festivities kick off at 6:30 pm MDT on NBC Sports
