Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino confirmed that Romeo Lavia is still absent with injury.
The midfielder has barely featured for the club since signing in the summer from Southampton.
Lavia was brought in after a protracted transfer saga that involved Liverpool and other top teams.
On Lavia, Pochettino told reporters: "Lavia, no, he's still not [ready].
Christopher [Nkunku] was involved on Saturday. Today he was training well. He has the possibility to be involved in some minutes of the game."
Chelsea take on Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup quarter final on Tuesday.
