Matt Hardy praises Cameron Grimes, also known as Trevor Lee, following his WWE release.

On April 23, Cameron Grimes announced that he had been released by WWE . Matt Hardy then took to Twitter and shared a supportive message in which he said that he loved Grimes’ passion and his raw emotion. He said that he was immensely proud of him. Hardy wrote that the release would lead to growth and change. He also said that Grimes was one of the most gifted pro wrestlers he had ever seen.

Cameron Grimes lived near the Hardy Boys when he was growing up, so they have been close for a long time. The Hardys trained Grimes, and he wrestled for their OMEGA Championship Wrestling promotion.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest also responded to Cameron Grimes’ release by sending him some words of encouragement. He said that Grimes’ story would be one of success. Priest wrote that Grimes was too good for that to not be the case.

Likewise, TNA X-Division Champion Mustafa Ali also showed his support. He told him to keep his head up and said that “we” would be awaiting his arrival.
